September meant that the Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness was approaching. It also meant that Shimelle was running her annual class, Learn Something New Every Day.
As with the previous few years, I’ve recorded what I learned throughout September here.

Day 16 | Today was the first day since June that the temperature hadn’t gone above 20C
Day 17 | The latest edition of Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine was released online
Day 18 | An Artic harp seal will look after its pup for just 12 days
Day 19 | The Queen’s hearse passed within walking distance of our house
Day 20 | Apparently some 250,000 people filed passed Her Majesty’s coffin during the Lying in State. I expected the number to be much higher.
Many & varied things learnt this week. Only 12 days for an Artic harp seal pup! As if the weather wasn’t harsh enough. I also would have thought the number was higher than 250,000 people walking past Her Majesty lying in state. A cheeky thought – does that include the queue jumpers?

The Artic harp seal thing is amazing, isn’t it.
Haha, re the queue jumpers. 🙂

Those queues looked like there were more than 250,000 but I’m guessing that there was someone keeping a strict count on numbers!
Gosh you really have to grow up fast if you are a baby Artic harp seal don’t you?

I know! I really don’t fancy being an Artic harp pup in my next life!
