Anne Frank Remembered: The Story of the Woman Who Helped to Hide the Frank Family by Miep Gies & Alison Leslie Gold | Audible | I listened to this after watching A Little Light on Disney+. This is Miep’s detailed account of how she was involved with the Frank family and acts of resistance against the Nazis during WWII. I thought it was excellent – definitely on my Best Of 2024 list.
Just For The Summer by Abby Jimenez | paperback | Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread (I have absolutely no idea what that is), it’s now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They’ll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea but it just might work.
I enjoyed this, particularly when characters from earlier books popped up, but the story does also deal with childhood trauma and abandonment.
