It was another week where I felt unsettled and life going on somehow felt wrong. The Brainy One and I went out to lunch with a few family members to celebrate The Brainy Boy reaching a milestone birthdayI made an appointment for Tilly to go to the groomer - they're so busy, they can't see … Continue reading Me on Monday | 14 March

Crop in the Country | The First Four Classes
The first class of the weekend began on Friday evening. The teacher had used a trimmed 6x4 photo, but I opted for three overlapping smaller photos of our great nephews. I wasn't sure about the mustard yellow colour initially, but in the end, I felt it worked with the colours in my photos. I need … Continue reading Crop in the Country | The First Four Classes

Recording 2021’s One Little Word | Heart – January and February
This year's word of heart is being recorded simply - one 12x12 scrapbook page a month. The Boy made me laugh by suggesting that he should appear every month. 🙂 In January, I chose a cute photo of our great nephews after they'd built a snowman: For February, I chose a set of photos taken … Continue reading Recording 2021’s One Little Word | Heart – January and February

Scrapbooking in 2020 #20
For my final spot of scrapbooking this year I returned to a favourite design. Both photos were sent through over Christmas via WhatsApp groups and I was in the mood for a spot of here-and-now creating. I absolutely love this design - it's so eye-catching and also a great way to use up sticker sheets. … Continue reading Scrapbooking in 2020 #20
Scrapbooking in 2020 #17
I'm back using one of my favourite grid designs to give a home to our great-nephews' school photos. In a spot of continuity, I also used it for Cachirulo's Reception class photos in January. I tweaked a design seen on Scrapbooking Quebec for the second layout featuring our wee boys - I absolutely love, love, … Continue reading Scrapbooking in 2020 #17
One Little Word | Pause – September and October 2020
I chose the theme of school for both months. In September, The Boy Child returned to school after 192 days at home and settled into Year 9. In October, Cachirulo and Los Pequeños had their official school portraits taken. I might have cried when I received them.

The lovely Mary-Lou, of Patio Postcards blog and organiser of the ever-popular Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt, recommended Scrapbooking Quebec on YouTube as a source of scrappy inspiration and she wasn't wrong. 🙂 Taking inspiration from her easy-to-follow videos, I produced two layouts starring our great nephews. The first spread marks the twins joining their big … Continue reading Scrapbooking in 2020 #16
Covid-19 | The Journal, Part 5
To be honest, I'd rather forgotten about the Covid-19 journal ... however, now that we have a semblance of normality in our lives with The Boy Child back at school, I've picked it up again. Into the album has gone a haircut - just the story and a single embellishment: Included next was a visit … Continue reading Covid-19 | The Journal, Part 5
