I went with a circular design (I drew around a saucer) and a host of stickers to wrap up November and December's One Little Word. For November, I chose to focus on the glorious Autumn skies across our local park. For December, I chose images of London's decorated West End. One 8x8 layout per month … Continue reading One Little Word | Pause – November and December 2020

One Little Word | Pause – September and October 2020
I chose the theme of school for both months. In September, The Boy Child returned to school after 192 days at home and settled into Year 9. In October, Cachirulo and Los Pequeños had their official school portraits taken. I might have cried when I received them.
Covid-19 | Life in Lockdown – At Home Revisited
Back in April, as well as reaching out to friends around the world for their thoughts on lockdown, I also wrote a short piece about my own lockdown experiences. Six months on, I've written another, so grab a cuppa and pull up a chair. As I type this, London currently sits in Tier 2 - … Continue reading Covid-19 | Life in Lockdown – At Home Revisited
One Little Word | Pause – July and August 2020
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine the word I chose last December would become so synonymous with all of 2020. There was only ever going to be one event for July - the long-overdue haircut. For August, I chose Gummer's Howe as my pause moment:
One Little Word | Pause – May and June 2020
It's only now, at the back end of July, that I've completed May and June's Pause pages. For May, I chose to record my birthday selfie - complete with a make up-free face and a nasty stye. I couldn't decide on patterned paper, so opted to go without. I blew the dust of a few … Continue reading One Little Word | Pause – May and June 2020
One Little Word | Pause – March and April 2020
I'll be honest here. At the end of March, I had no idea how I would record our One Little Word. Ditto for April. And then thanks to a Saturday afternoon spent scrapbooking with The Best Friend, via the magic of Facetime, I knew ... March: It had to be Lockdown. How could it be … Continue reading One Little Word | Pause – March and April 2020
Frugal February | A Month of No Buying
During February of last year, I didn't buy anything that wasn't considered necessary - no to new clothes, no to new books, no to slices of cake in our local dog-friendly café. I've just completed another Frugal February and I feel good about it. It's been good practice to pause and actively consider whether a … Continue reading Frugal February | A Month of No Buying
OLW | Pause and How I’m Recording Our Word in 2020
Having settled on pause as our One Little Word for 2020, I considered how I would record it. The previous two years' words were recorded in a mini traveller's notebook. This year, I've gone with simple 8x8 spreads that will slot into our Project Life | Revisited album. I'm planning on approximately one spread per … Continue reading OLW | Pause and How I’m Recording Our Word in 2020

Project Life Revisited | Weeks 1 and 2
Two weeks into the new year and this smaller size of 8x8 is working for me. I don't need a photo for all seven days, I can just cherry pick the stories I want to tell. Week 1: The cards are a mix of 'proper' Project Life product (designed by the fabulous Cathy Zielske) and … Continue reading Project Life Revisited | Weeks 1 and 2
