Following the relaxation of the UK’s Covid-19 rules, the Chelsea Flower Show was back in its usual spot of late May, and as in previous years, large swathes of Chelsea were decorated with incredible floral designs.

I took 72 photos, all on my iPhone, and meandered through Chelsea for a little over an hour. My walk began and ended at Knightsbridge station.

As the 2nd and 3rd June are Bank Holidays, the next scheduled post will appear on Monday, 6 June.

  1. Oh wow! What fantastic photos Ruth! You really have captured the essence of the floral celebrations. You’re going to be spoilt for choice when you start making scrapbook pages using the Jubilee theme.

  2. I didn’t realise that the streets were also decorated – I thought there was just a flower show that happened somewhere vaguely near Chelsea. I love the photos of the crown and the corgi. Envious of your wander.

    1. Chelsea in Bloom has been happening for a number of years … one of my favourite times of year in London.

Absolute divine in every way! I really like the tributes to Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. I think from your photos my favourite is the airplane amid the blue, white & red. I also like the teacups & plates used in the floral arch & yes isn’t the book theme clever … OK I give in, there’s no one favourite!

    1. The aircraft one was The Boy’s favourite; like you, I couldn’t choose one.

  4. How totally fabulous! I always love your London photos … The way you capture the best of the city is a delight – you’ve half-convinced me over the years (from a ‘no way could I live there’ position) that if I had to move to London, it wouldn’t be too bad :). (That, and the better weather of course!

    1. You could come and live in the West London suburbs near me … it’s like a London Lite version!
