The lovely Mary-Lou of Patio Postcards blog pointed me recently in the direction of Brené Brown‘s new weekly gratitude practice, TGIF. Most of us would recognise TGIF as an acronym for Thank God It’s Friday, but in Brené’s world it stands for Trusting, Grateful, Inspired and Fun.

Seven bundles of cuteness

Trusting: that mummy duck can keep her babies safe from the herons.

Grateful: to the friend who invited me to Wimbledon. (More on that soon).

Inspired: to be more like Tilly. She doesn’t worry about making friends, she simply assumes that everyone will want to be.

Fun: to be going again to the circus this summer.

  1. All great TGIFs! I am sure that mamma duck is keeping a close eye out for predators who may have their eyes on her babies!

    1. I do hope so! There was no sign of them on the pond this morning …

Herons attack ducklings! I did not know this. Tilly is a good role model. Happy weekend.

    1. Happy weekend to you, too!
