Me on Monday | 5 December

It was a week where it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

  • I went to the salon to have my eyebrows done
  • The Brainy One and I initiated an Autumn Clean – the inside of windows and a deep clean of our oven were top of the list
  • The Brainy One went to Cambridge for filming at the University
  • We cheered both Wales v England, but glad for an England win
  • We attended The Boy’s Annual Review meeting and submitted our choice of Sixth Form
  • I posted the overseas Christmas cards
  • I had my hair cut
  • We put the Christmas tree up
  • I made a large batch of Cranberry Sauce and baked these biscuits
  • The Boy DJ’d at the school’s Christmas Disco and I helped out with the refreshments
  • We hosted our annual Drinks Party
  • Friends stayed overnight
  • We went out for brunch
  • I worked on December Daily
  • I did several loads of laundry
  • We roared on England against Senegal

  1. So we both start the week with a sparkling oven (except I cheated and got someone in to do mine!)
It’s lovely to see that this year the celebrations are starting to look a lot more like they used to – I’m looking forward to watching December Daily unwrap!

  2. It certainly was a busy & social week. TBO’s filming, will this be something we will see on TV? Ah yes, thanks for the reminder about those delicious festive biscuits. I’ll clean my oven after the Christmas treats baking (I say with a straight face). Looking forward to seeing your days of December Daily. I watched Ali’s Day 3 inspiration uTube & liked the reveal of her journaling for the day. Definitely needing inspiration for this project. 🙂

  3. A productive week! I’m tackling the tree and the stairway decoration this week. The husband is working away so I’ll get it done and he’ll believe it’s all effortless and magical when he comes home to greenery, twinkling lights and miles of velvet ribbon.
