Today has been glorious, blue skies and gorgeous sunshine all day. At times though, we had fairly strong gusts of wind, as you can see by The Boy Child's hair in this photo! I do love it when The Boy Child can be outside all the time.

Poorly DS
My wee man has been struck down with the lurgy today. I found him covered in sick this morning, when I went to get him up at 8am, and he was sick fairly regularly for most of the day. By teatime, he seemed to be over the worst and managed a bowl of dry Shreddies, … Continue reading Poorly DS
DS At 28 Months
Another 9th of the month has rolled around and my wee monkey is running me ragged! Cannot understand why some ladies deliberately make a "lifestyle choice" to have their babies in their late 30s/early 40s!! I am NOT a flag waver for late motherhood at all!
Friday
After a wet and grey start, the day brightened up nicely by the time DS was up from his nap. We got the bubble machine out and, after a new set of batteries, it was producing a weather system all of its own! You might like to know that DS can now say bubbles (along … Continue reading Friday
Mummy’s Slippers
DS was funny this afternoon because he decided to try my slippers on for size. He'd lost a sock and I was trying to persuade him to pick it up so we could put it back on; I took my slippers off to show him that I was wearing my socks and that was that. … Continue reading Mummy’s Slippers
Spring Is Springing!
Next door's hedge of clematis (it's the only way I can describe it) is in full bloom and we are benefitting because it's hanging down our side of the wall near the shed. Our small rhododendrum has surprised me this year by producing flowers; it's just been mostly stick-like since our 4 legged friend tried … Continue reading Spring Is Springing!
Monthly Book Group
I trotted off to the library again this morning, after dropping DS at nursery, for the book group. I'm beginning to like some of the ladies in the group very much (our one token male is away travelling just now on the Trans-Siberian Express!!). Linda the Librarian is very nice and is good at getting … Continue reading Monthly Book Group
Bank Holiday Monday
We were lucky in that it didn't rain today but there was a definite nip in the air, such a difference from Saturday. We managed a trip to the park and I remembered the camera ... only to find when we got home that all the images were all pants! The one here is the … Continue reading Bank Holiday Monday
Saturday
It's been a glorious day here and we spent most of it outside. This morning saw DH take DS and the light-duties pup to the park while I nipped off to do a small grocery shop followed by a drop-in at Starbucks to collect 2 lattes to go. The poor pup didn't enjoy being in … Continue reading Saturday
D-Day: 65th Anniversary
If you have the time, stop by the Royal British Legion's website (www.britishlegion.org.uk/DDay) and leave a message to thank a D-Day hero. This year is the 65th anniversary of D-Day and the Legion will be planting thousands of flags containing our messages on the beaches of Normandy on 6th June. Please remember the D-Day heroes who … Continue reading D-Day: 65th Anniversary
