Blogging The Ordinary or Book Club, Part 2

Well, even though I say so myself, the book group went well this morning and we managed to talk for our allotted session time of 1.5 hours. This month’s book is Sex Wars: A Novel (don’t you love how they put that, just in case you thought you were buying/borrowing something akin to the Karma Sutra!) by American writer Marge Piercy. All I’ve ascertained so far is that it is set in New York City in 1868. And one of our lovely retired ladies has offered to lead next month’s session, so all I have to do this month is find the time to read the darn thing!

(Mum – you should try and read it because you’re invited to the next meeting, given that you’ll be here.)

When I finally got around to switching on the PC today, somewhere around 1pm, I found Shimelle’s day 4 prompt email. And what was she suggesting? That’s its okay to blog about the ordinary! Phew, that’s alright then!

  1. I like your ordinary day prompt. I can also relate to the “this month is find the time to read the darn thing!” I wish you luck and no, I don't think I'll try the book – it doesn't sound like my kind of fantasy. 😀

  2. Well done on running the book club today, after reading your post this morning I wondered how it had gone ;o). As for blogging the ordinary, that's all I tend to do anyway – whatever is current in my life at the time, whew!
