Yep, hard to believe, but this is my 2,000th post. And in honour of that, I’m having a wee giveaway. I’ve been inspired this week by the generosity of both Shimelle and Mel, so I am taking a leaf out of their blogs books.
From now until Monday lunchtime (UK time), leave a comment if you’d like to win Shimelle’s When I Grow Up class, selected because, believe it or not, it’s the only class I haven’t done. Perhaps I should rectify that?
You don’t have to tell me what you wanted to be when you grew up, but it might be fun. Me? I wanted to be a nurse.
wow, 2000! Congrats. Here's to the next 2000……can't wait 🙂

Hooray! Congratulations 🙂 What a lovely idea!
Don't pop me in the draw as I've already done the class, and as you already know that I always wanted to teach and write, I'll tell you instead that when The Girl was about 6 she had her future career and her brother's all sorted out. He was going to be a wildlife expert, travelling the world to study animals in their natural habitat. She was going to be a pirate, travelling with him and funding the expeditions with her treasure….!

I want to be 5' 2″ tall. That was my main ambition for when I grew up. When I was small it was the height my Cousin Bernard was when I first paid attention to such things and to a “little dwt” as we say down here in South Wales, that seemed so tall. When I was 12 I was the tallest in my class at 5'1″ and when I started Agricultural college at 16 I was exactly half an inch taller. I live in hope even though I am shrinking with age now.

2000? Ruth, that is amazing! Many congratulations – next time I have a bit of spare blog reading time I'm going to come back and delve into your archives.
It's a lovely giveaway, but please don't include me in this one 🙂
And here's to the next 2000!

Congratulations on your 2000th blog post. Here's to many more!
When I was younger I was animal mad (I still am) and my dog Misty was my pride and joy – I used to spend hours in the back garden training her for dog shows. I wanted to work with animals when I grew up.
My first proper job was working in a Dog Groomers when I was 16. Nowadays I work in a nursery. I guess I didn't get the memo about not working with children and animals!

Congratulations – I wanted to be a teacher but did consider being an air stewardess (a frenemy said I was too ugly – kids are cruel!) and a librarian because I loved books. Or I always wanted to be Wonder woman or one of Charlie's Angels. Have a great weekend :0)

2000? That way ahead of me. Now you may have thought I wanted to be a Personal Shopper when I grew up but believe it or not I wanted to be a Radiographer. Unfortunately there wasn't enough space on the biology course so I had to take physics….and we know how that went!!!

2000! Congratulations!
I wanted to be a hairdresser, then I was going to run a business that was better than my dad's. Eventually, by the time I was ten, I decided I had to be a mum who was home when her kids got home from school (the way my mum wasn't)

Congrats on 2000 posts! I've been blogging 3 years and have only hit 400+. Funny that When I Grow Up is also the only class I haven't taken over at Shimelle's. I wanted to be writer or a child psychologist.
