As you know, The Boy Child has been proper poorly with week. Whenever he is ill, it always reminds me just how little and defenceless he is. A mummy’s lot, I suppose. And I don’t suppose it gets any easier when your children are older but poorly, either.
This week, however, I have been thankful for the magic that is The Polar Express, both the book, by American writer Chris van Allsberg, and the film, with most of the characters voiced by Tom Hanks. Both are truly magical and The Boy Child adores them (as do I!).

Polar Express is one of my very favourite Christmas films. Isn't that Hot Chocolate scene really something? Glad to meet another fan!

That is such a sweet movie, our friend's son, Bobby Block was a motion capture actor for that film. Very cool stuff.
