Me on Monday | 15 May

It was another short week, one with a mixed bag of weather.

  • I made two visits to B&Q for paint and associated bits related to redecorating
  • Tilly and I were caught out in a heavy downpour
  • The Brainy One and I went to our friend’s funeral
  • I had another visit to the dentist – related to my fall from grace three years ago 😦
  • I took part in Mass Observation Day
  • The Best Friend arrived to pick me up for a weekend at Crop in the Country
  • The Brainy One and The Boy went to see Brentford v West Ham

  1. Sorry to hear that the ‘fall from grace’ is still being felt three years later – I don’t like the sound of the fact that dentists are involved!
I bet you had a great weekend at the crop – that certainly helped with your 100 day project!

    1. I’m not particularly keen on seeing the dentist, but she seemed confident that the problem has now been addressed (fingers crossed!).
I had a fab time at the Crop and it’s always lovely to see our mutual friend. 🙂

  2. Dentist being involved from a fall from grace 3 years ago, not good. Hopefully they are fixing any left overs from that fall, with out too much or any at all, discomfort for you. Oh a crop away, from Insta it looked productive & fun. Oh dear wet dog, wet Mum.

This may sound strange, but glad you were able to gather to mourn & celebrate your friend. With the recent death of family members, without benefit of a funeral to share the emotions, I can only say I now understand why there are funerals & celebrations of life services.

    1. So far so good with the dental work, thankfully!
I agree that funerals are important for those left behind – it was lovely to see so many people from the different parts of our friend’s life.
