Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, with a one-of-a-kind design. It’s suspended in mid-air, giving you the feeling of floating in the sky with 360-degree views you can’t get anywhere else.
It’s pretty bloody amazing, truth be told. Although standing on the glass section of the floor did make me nauseous, not gonna lie. I am glad that I did it, but I don’t think it will be something that I care to repeat.

What an experience! Amazing views. Something that I could never do, not because of a fear of heights, but an absolute fear of lifts – so I’d never get up to that floor level in the first place!

A lift phobia must make life difficult for you – how do you manage when staying in hotels?

I always put in a request for a low floor and never stay in a high rise hotel! I know I can manage anything up to about the 4th floor!

Fun fact: today is apparently International Lift (Elevator) Day in commemoration of a Mr Otis revealing the first ever lift in a New York City department store. 😉

On the whole, it was fun! Glad I’ve done it, possibly won’t do it again.
