Me on Monday | 23 January

It was a quieter week at home, which was welcome. It was also a much colder week, which was not so welcome.

  • Blood tests were rescheduled for next week
  • We marked several family birthdays, the birth of a baby and the loss of an uncle
  • I went to the salon to have my eyebrows done
  • Tilly went to the vet for her annual vaccinations and was diagnosed with a heart murmur. She will have a heart scan next week and then we will know what we are dealing with
  • There was a family lunch gathering
  • The Boy and I went to see the new Tom Hanks film, A Man Called Otto

  1. What a coincidence – Coco had a suspected heart murmur too! She had a heart scan at the end of last year and was still at the high end of normal, and we have to schedule for a follow up scan at the end of the month. Apparently it isn’t unusual in any breed which includes Cavalier crosses.
What did you think of the Tom Hanks film? I like the sound of it!

    1. Yes, a heart murmur is common in Cavs … Tilly’s twin brother was diagnosed just a week before she was.
I enjoyed the new Tom Hanks, but I did not expect it to make me tearful.

  2. Sorry to hear of your family’s loss. We are experiencing another loss in our family, which has really knocked me for six. But let’s focus on the positive, a new arrival into the family – yeah! Hopefully for Tilly’s heart murmur there is medication to help so it doesn’t become worse. Of course getting a pill into a dog can be a challenge. Glad to read you enjoyed A Man Called Otto – I read the book A Man called Ove. Tom Hanks I think can bring any character to life.
