September means that the Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness is approaching. It also means that Shimelle is running her annual class, Learn Something New Every Day.
As with the previous few years, I’m recording what I’ve learned throughout September here.

Day 6 | Times passes quickly when decorating is accompanied by singing along loudly to the radio
Day 7 | Deciding to ignore the weather forecast before venturing out with Tilly never ends well
Day 8 | The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was announced
Day 9 | Saturation media coverage overwhelms very quickly
Day 10 | Senior members of the House of Commons retook the Oath of Allegiance, which surprised me, because on joining the Royal Air Force, I swore allegiance to “Her Majesty, Her Heirs and Successors, and I will, as in duty bound, honestly and faithfully defend Her Majesty, Her Heirs and Successors in Person, Crown and Dignity against all enemies …“
Lots learnt in this week. Your Day 9 was certainly a shared experience. I understand day 7 as “they” are so often incorrect in the forecast, who wouldn’t ignore their advice!

I have walked a dog for enough years, you would think that I would be ready for anything the British weather decided to throw at me … but no, I still get caught out!
