Me on Monday | 4 July

It was a another week of good weather.

  • I went to the salon to have my eyebrows done
  • Tilly went to the groomers
  • I was upset at the news of Dame Deborah James. Her family shared a few final things from her: “Find a life worth enjoying; take risks; love deeply; have no regrets; and always, always have rebellious hope. And finally, check your poo – it could just save your life.”
  • We were able to pass on a free-standing bookcase from the playroom to my sister-in-love
  • We called time on the decorating on Thursday afternoon 🙂
  • The Brainy One and I have started watching Only Murders in the Building … I’m still laughing at the frozen cat …
  • The Boy and I went to his school disco … he was the DJ and I helped with refreshments
  • The Brainy One went to a physics department event at the University of Oxford
  • We were meant to meet American friends for dinner at the pub … we haven’t seen them in person since the summer of 2015 … but they came down with suspected food poisoning after a cruise … we still went to the pub

  1. How nice to see events like school discos back in the diary – hope you both had a good time 😉
What rotten timing for your American friends to be ill, I don’t blame you for keeping the reservation at the pub though!
I haven’t heard of that programme but the comment about a frozen cat has me intrigued 🙂

  2. You have been busy – certainly lots of redefining a return to life B.C. It seems either food poisonings or COVID off cruise ships these days, not the souvenir you hope to bring home; hope your friends have recovered. Dame Deborah James left a gift in her wise advice.
