London’s Newest Memorial

If you didn’t know it was there, you could walk by and not give it any attention. It’s just a small plaque, nothing fancy.

The plaque was unveiled in late March of this year, on the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attack on Westminster Bridge.

The plaque reads, “In memory of those who lost their lives in the act of terrorism on Westminster Bridge and New Palace Yard on 22 March 2017. Kurt Cochran, Leslie Rhodes, Aysha Frade, Andrea Cristea, Keith Palmer. This plaque is also laid in recognition of the injury and loss caused to the many other people affected, their bravery, humanity and resilience continues to inspire us.”

  1. It is such a sad thing that we continue to have to have these types of memorials. I hope that this plaque gives the survivors & the families of those lost, some kind of comfort.
