Me on Tuesday | 1 March

It was an upsetting week. We didn’t have the words available to be able to console our Ukrainian friends.

  • The car went in for its annual MoT and passed
  • The Brainy One and I introduced The Boy to the superb Band of Brothers
  • The Brainy One and I met my Sister-in-Love for brunch
  • The Parents/Teacher meeting happened over Zoom
  • An out-of-town friend was in town and asked to meet for lunch 🙂
  • Hatchards tracked down an out-of-print title for The Boy
  • We had friends come for supper and stay the night
  • The Boy and I went to the cinema to see The Duke, which we highly recommend
  • We marked 10 years since the death of my lovely father-in-law
  • We were on tenterhooks as Liverpool won the EFL Cup against Chelsea on penalties’, 11-10

  1. Indeed, this is such a terrible time for many … and your lovely blossoms feel both hopeful and slightly incongruous at the same time. When I look at the emerging shoots in the garden and the squirrel wrestling with the bird feeder, I remind myself that Nature keeps right on doing its thing, growing and changing and renewing. Great to read you’ve had such and full and sociable week.

  2. Happy St David’s Day. Seems like it has been a social time for you & the family, which is great to renew ourselves just as nature is doing now.

This is one time that social media can prove useful in all aspects, by bringing the message to the Russian people about what is really happening & why. Bringing words of hope, encouragement of supplies, & yes some people to fight, to help the Ukraine people.
