Are you a blurker?
A blurker is someone who reads a blog this blog, maybe smiles at a photo of my son, nods in agreement at something I’ve written, perhaps even admires a scrapbook page I’ve shared … but never, ever leaves a comment to say they stopped by.
Is that you?
If so, then please break that habit and leave a comment to say why you read about the daily doings of my life. I’m not looking for compliments, although feel free to chuck in the odd one or two, I’m interested to know what makes my blog readable and perhaps learn how I can improve it.
Yes, I’m a blurk. I’ve been following you for quite a few years now. Yours is one of several blogs that I read every day, or every time they are published, leaving comments on them would tie up too much of my day! Keep up the good work, it’s the variation of subjects that make for interesting reading, and watching the Boy Child growing into a teen.

I’m a sort of part-time blurker. I read every post, but only occasionally comment – I mean to do so, then life gets in the way and suddenly it’s two days later and a bit late!

Yes, the minutiae of life often gets in the way, but you are always welcome.

Now there’s a new-to-me word! Nope, I don’t think I fit in that category. I have to say that I would find it very hard to read a blog post and not comment because it seems a little rude – as if I’ve walked into their house and had a quick peek around when they weren’t looking and then snuck out again!
