During my mid-December cyber crop with The Oldest Friend, amid the chat and the mugs of tea, I made two layouts – both of which had been inspired by layouts seen in the current edition of Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine.
For the final spread of 2021’s One Little Word | Heart, I scraplifted the Designer Challenge on page 14, as I had the exact supplies in my stash.

Near the back of the magazine, I spotted a grid design on an advert for Doodlebug Design and knew that I wanted to make my own version.

I think my sewing machine appreciated having the dust blown off it and being put to use. 🙂
They are both beautiful! I love the way the Christmas light garland frames the page on the first one and the grid design on the second is a great way to get more than a couple of photos on a page. Perfect!

The grid design really packs a punch, doesn’t it.

Wonderful examples of taking a design & improving upon it. When I saw the magazine, I thought for sure the layout on page 74 would inspire you (the Christmas tree shaped sprinkle layout).

I love the layouts, brilliant interpretation. However, the photo of the the three, in Santa hats, watching the Strictly final is simply fantastic.

It is a straight scraplift, but I do love the end result!

How gorgeous! Love the Santa hats one from the back with all those lovely additions round the frame – but a grid always has my heart :).
