It was a week where Christmas crept into a lot of my thinking and there was not much in the diary

- I was happy to be pottering around at home
- We kept up with the twice-weekly Covid testing, particularly as I had been to the Festival of Remembrance
- I swept up what felt like a ton of leaves
- The Brainy One and I tidied up the back garden. We’ve pulled up one bed and as we’re undecided about what to plant there, we’ve covered it over and added a layer of bark chippings
- I wrapped up Christmas presents
- I made a start on writing the Christmas cards
- We met The Best Friends in beautiful Cirencester for lunch and a catch-up
It feels as if the weeks to Christmas are going fast now as we gradually add things to our diary. Tidying up the back garden is on our ‘to do’ list too, I think we need to do it sooner rather than later before the cold weather sets in!

Time is whizzing by … and I’m trying to strike a balance between planning stuff while still being mindful of Covid.

What a lovely rhythm your week seem to have; some festive, some family, some friends, some home, all things that blend nicely to be signaling a return to familiar. OK except for the testing…

Funny how quickly testing has become the norm.

Oh nice, wrapping already. I have yet to start my shopping. I think I am going to forgo online shopping and pick up a few things in the stores. Covid has certainly simplified our gift-giving, and I am hoping to keep it that way.

Most of my festive shopping will be on line … I’m too anxious at the thought of crowds for in-person shopping.
