It was primarily a week for remembrance.
- Tilly and I met a friend for a catch-up
- There was a Zoom meeting that required some serious pre-meeting prep
- I had my haircut
- We met up with my sister-in-love to walk our dogs together
- I attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in Central London – without doubt one of the greatest privileges of my life. (I took The Boy in 2019.) My phone blew up with texts on the way home because lots of people had seen me on TV! 🙂
- We remembered Flying Officer Roy Wilson
- The Boy and The Brainy One made ANZAC biscuits
What a lovely service to attend & have treats appropriate waiting for you at home. Flying Officer Roy’s sacrifice is well remembered; did you ever self publish any more of your tribute books of war memorial/graves?
I like your term of sister in love, such a way to honour a special bond. I hope your prep work was appreciated during that Zoom meeting. I find that the same people that were unprepared for meetings pre-pandemic, have grown even worse for Zooms, shuffling papers off camera doesn’t convince me you “just” misplaced that report.

Ah yes, the paper shuffling trick … I’ve been tempted to have wine in my tea mug … 🙂

It must have been such an emotional experience to actually be at the service – and love the fact that you found yourself on screen during the TV programme.
I do hope that your Zoom meeting was productive and that all your preparation gave you the confidence to present your case in the best way possible.

Zoom meetings are horrible, I am so ready for face-to-face meetings to recommence! 🙂

Worried about the Queen. Hope she rallies again after this latest health issue. Stunning photo of the Albert Hall. I am sure that was an amazing experience.
