Me on Monday

A week of gusting winds and colder temperatures.

Regent’s Park
  • The week began with a double appointment at the dentist – a check-up and a visit to the hygienist
  • Last week’s cancelled Zoom meeting was rescheduled for this week. All my preparation and note taking didn’t go to waste
  • I booked a night at my club for The Boy and me – we’re holidaying at home for half term
  • I booked appointments for both The Brainy One and The Boy to have their hair cut
  • The Brainy One and I watched the superb documentary Four Hours at the Capitol. It’s available on the BBC iPlayer for the next year
  • I booked tickets for No Time To Die at a famous West End cinema – The Boy is taking me 🙂
  • My friend had a tough week so I invited her to join Tilly and me on an afternoon walk
  • We went for brunch at my favourite garden centre
  • I realised that Series 3 of New Amsterdam had been released on Amazon Prime and made some me-time to begin watching it. I’m three episodes in; the first 5 minutes of episode 1 are incredibly powerful and I cried
  • I booked tickets to see the Glenn Miller Orchestra in April 2022
  • Our Dutch friends were unexpectedly back in London and invited us to meet them for a drink 🙂

  1. I’m sure that an afternoon with you and Tilly was exactly what your friend needed to make her feel a bit better. Time out with friends and dogs is such a mood lifter.
Hope you have a nice relaxing half term week, enjoy your date night at the cinema!

  2. Your staycation plans sound like they will work for all concerned & still take into account your COVID concerns. An afternoon at a garden centre, a walk with a friend & drinks with friend, all sound good for the soul.
