Recording Our Northern Road Trip

I’ve lost my way a little with my scrapbooking recently, storage space for new albums is almost non-existent and I’m about done with taking a large bag of stash with me when we travel.

But that doesn’t mean I wasn’t up to the job of recording our recent road trip to South Lakeland. Enter the humble travelers notebook and journaling/filler cards from In a Creative Bubble.

I wrote some of the journaling while we were away and added the rest and the photos once home. I kept things simple and it all came together easily, if somewhat bulkily.

As previously mentioned, all the journaling cards are from In a Creative Bubble (currently not accepting orders from UK customers) and I trimmed a few pages here and there for added visual interest. πŸ™‚

I made a stitched pocket to hold a batch of extra photos – you can find the instructions here.

I enjoyed printing off images in smaller sizes to make up a grid/montage design and then pairing it with a large filler card.

I do appear to have over-filled the travelers notebook, as it’s had something of a wardrobe malfunction. πŸ™‚

  1. Lovely! It’s overflowing with happy memories πŸ™‚
I used to go to a monthly crop and the lady who ran it said that if an album closes with the covers laying flat, it doesn’t have enough in it!

  2. Woah, what a gloriously full memory book :). I love the many photos and all the interesting little bits. I have taken blank pages out of a notebook (working from the centre) to ensure that when photos and realia are added, it will close. And then made a card cover for the removed pages to make a second notebook for the trip. Same number of final pages but two notebooks (which I then stuck together), so that the spines could cope. If you see what I mean!
