September means that the Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness is approaching. It also means that Shimelle is running her annual class, Learn Something New Every Day.
As with the previous few years, I’m recording what I’ve learned throughout September here.

Day 1: A new recipe always takes much longer to prepare and serve than anticipated.
Day 2: The Boy will most likely have outgrown his new school trousers by half-term.
Day 3: Sometimes its simply easier to let Dennis, my hair dresser, talk non-stop. 🙂
Day 4: Going out for brunch is never as harmonious and peaceful as I hope it will be.
Day 5: Our ‘we-drive-everywhere‘ friends thought walking around the lake at Osterley was tiring. 🙂
Sounds like your hairdresser is like mine! I’m totally with you on the first try of a recipe – why does it take so much longer than you expect? Strange.
I smiled at number 5 – I remember when I helped in the local primary school and we walked the year 5 class to the local church for the opening of a new community area. It is one mile away at the absolute most, honestly you have never heard so many ‘are we nearly there yet’ comments!

I have to confess to teasing our friends … “it’s hardly akin to trekking in Nepal!” 🙂

I am glad to see that Learn Something New is here again for September. Sounds as though TB is on another growth spurt. Let’s hope the friends that drive everywhere have gotten the joys about walking & wandering! More adventures could await! Umm I wonder, who needs to be left at home for brunch?
