Month in Numbers | August 2021

Was August awesome? Let’s see what the numbers made of it:

11.5 days of having the decorator in the house

30 pieces of Happy Mail written, addressed and posted

33,745 steps walked by me on my busiest day of the month*

34 walks with Tilly

The Boy received his 1st dose of the Pfizer vaccine

4 nights away in Ulverston

5 lampshades given away via freecycle … to a chap who lives in the next road to us!

4 bags of books and DVDs donated to Oxfam

31 sessions of online Pilates

14 online Step classes via Jenny Ford on YouTube

13 separate visits with friends and family

2 visits to National Trust properties

*How I achieved that step count total: Step class, walk to the supermarket, Slow Summer outing in town, walk to Oxfam, walk with Tilly.

Month in Numbers was the brainchild of Julie. You can see my previous Month in Numbers here.

  1. You keep beating your own ‘personal best’ on the step front! It’s lovely to read about a month that includes time away from home and visiting friends. Great news too to see that TB has had his vaccination.

  2. August was awesome! Very impressive step count & pieces of mail sent. Yeah to getting the 1st jab for TB, hopefully all his class mates will be on the same schedule. Moderna was just approved in Canada for the 12-17yrs so now we have two vaccines for that age group; Pfizer was approved earlier in the year. The 12-17 yrs have so far had better turn out for the jabs than the 20-29 years!

  3. Sounds like it was a good month. So glad y’all were able to get out some. We’ve been back to staying home almost exclusively with the rise in cases again here.

Glad TBC was able to get that first shot. My 16-year-old nieces were fully vaccinated over the summer, so they started school (4 weeks ago) with that protection at least.
