The statue of Diana, Princess of Wales was unveiled by her sons on 1 July and there was a lot of noise in the media about it.
Is it okay for me to confess that I’m not certain I actually like it?
Whatever.
The statue can be found in the sunken garden at Kensington Palace and is free to view.
I’m glad to hear that viewing the statue is free. I am not a fan of the actual statue but I do like the idea of the tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales in the all white plantings of the garden.

I really don’t think the statue does her justice.

I’m not sure it’s what I would have chosen to be honest. I am pleased that she is being honoured in some way but feel that the sculptor has not completely captured the Diana that we all remember.

I’d have to agree with you on all counts.

Thank-you for your photos – I haven’t seen it in real life, but the images here and in the press don’t seem to have the sparkle and grace that I associate with Princess Diana.

I agree – it’s difficult to know what sort of memorial would best capture her spirit, isn’t it.

I’ve seen several photos & am also not sure if I like it. Glad you were able to check it out in person.
