One way or another, it was an emotional week:
- I visited the orthodontist after breaking my retainer for the second time. ๐ฆ
- The Boy and I had what was hopefully the final appointment about his toe. ๐
- The Brainy One and I met up with my SiL for lunch.
- I bought more bedding plants for our front garden.
- I purchased paint. ๐
- I had further confirmation of the results of my colonoscopy. ๐
- We went out for Sunday brunch.
- We watched the Men’s Singles Final.
- We cheered on England … but it wasn’t to be. ๐ฆ
Certainly a week of ups and downs. I felt so sorry for Gareth and the team, they tried so hard and did so well to get as far as they did – it is such a harsh way to lose. I think everyone who watched is feeling dejected today ๐ฆ
The mens singles did not start so well but certainly improved as the match went on. I have a feeling we may be seeing a lot more of Matteo Berrettini in the future!

What to say about the football? And as for the tennis, I fancied the dishy Italian for the win! ๐

Your garden looks lush & very pretty. I hope that fixing your retainer did not prove to be too expensive. I think there was every type of sport being played this weekend; I think I was surprised by the crowds at every event & no masks. Cannot wait to see what the paint was purchased for.

I wish that were my garden – it’s one I spotted down near the river at the weekend. ๐
The size of sporting crowds has made me shiver! The football at Wembley and the tennis at Wimbledon have been classified as test events … I turned down the opportunity to purchase a pair of tickets for Wimbledon.
There’s a few weeks wait for the paint reveal – our decorator has us on his waiting list! ๐
