Me on Monday

  • It was a week without any side effects from my recent colonoscopy (more on that tomorrow).
  • There was yet another appointment for The Boy about his toe – he is very fed up about it. 😦
  • There was too much discussion with the developer working nearby about safe practices and attitude.
  • I chose the paint for our next redecoration project. 🙂
  • I met up with another school mum to talk about next steps for our boys.
  • We invited friends round for coffee and cake in the garden – the first time we’ve seen them since December 2019 – and had a wonderful few hours together. 🙂
  • We went to the drive-in Military Air Show at Shuttleworth and had a good time. The forecast dreadful weather thankfully didn’t materialise.

  1. OH dear about the builder next door; safety first because you only get a moment for that but a life time for regret Mr Builder! Attitude would be a difficult one. Oh no about the toe for TB; this has been going on for a while. Is it not healing, he’s given up chewing? Another decorating project! This should be fun. I made a list on the weekend of the decorating changes I want to bring to the budget meeting mid month as we have a contractor coming in to re-do our ensuite bathroom but that’s not until November & bathrooms are never a cheap decorating option, but I don’t want that to be an excuse not to do other smaller projects.

    1. As I type this, all I can hear is the gentle hum of an angle grinder … this is what a ‘quiet’ day of brick laying sounds like. 😦

Yes we’re planning on a spot of interior redecoration after the new picture windows have been installed … our decorator has just told me that he can’t come for at least 3 weeks; I was hoping to have him in and out before the start of the school holidays.

  2. I can imagine that if The Boy is fed up with toe issues, then you are too!
How lovely to have coffee and cake with friends in the garden after so long, I bet you enjoyed every minute.

    1. Haha, you’re not wrong in your assumption about The Boy’s toe!
Seeing our friends was so lovely … the pandemic has certainly taught us to appreciate the simple things in life. 🙂

  3. Delightful to catch up with friends you hadn’t seen for so long … and over coffee and cake in the garden. At this point, you must be about ready to cut The Boy’s toe off!! I am so sorry. I have a toe issue and know it is nothing to laugh about. Hope this last visit will bring a conclusion to this trial.
