Last Night by Mhairi McFarlane: This was the new title I’d been waiting for. I wanted to love it like I love You Had Me At Hello and Here’s Looking at You. I didn’t. But that’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it, more so on the second reading. Ultimately though, Last Night is a love letter to friendship and who doesn’t enjoy a good story centered around friends.
The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver: This was a re-read and I enjoyed it more the second time around. (I first mentioned it here)
The House Swap by Jo Lovett (Kindle): This was a quick and enjoyable read: your classic strangers to friends to lovers story. It’s the kind of book you can read and smile … and isn’t that what we all need right now?
As Monday is a UK Bank Holiday, the next scheduled post will appear on Tuesday, 4 May.
I’ve just finished Last Night too! I enjoyed it and felt she covered Eve’s emotions towards Susie and the way the relationship between the friends after that night very well. Our book club choice for this month is The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth and although I’ve only just started it, it feels like it’s going to be a good read.
Have a good weekend!

What a good way to start the weekend, with some book reviews that require my own book request list to be updated. Thank you. Good reads about friendship is so needed right now.
Happy long weekend – is it a weekend to celebrate anything nationally?
