Me on Monday

I’m finding things a wee bit emotional today …

  • British Summer Time is here.
  • England is emerging from the 3rd nationwide lockdown (which began on 5th January).
  • I have a date to meet two friends for a walk with Tilly. 🙂
  • The Brainy One and I are meeting my lovely SiL for a walk in the woods with our dogs. 🙂
  • I have an appointment for a haircut.
  • We have booked a venue for a family party later this year (Covid restrictions notwithstanding).
  • We have a timeslot for visiting our beloved Hughenden.
  • I’m on the home straight of not drinking alcohol during Lent – I will be imbibing on Good Friday. 🙂

  1. Beautiful photo. Yeah to a hair appt. I can only image that all of us feel emotional as restrictions are reduced & we are told, go out, live your life, a little bit. How wonderful that you can meet up with friends & family again. Things in Ontario are becoming bleak again with rising totals of everything bad about COVID. I feel I am about to curl up into a tight little ball for the day, of course the snow hasn’t helped.

  2. I applaud your Lenten sacrifice. I used to “give up” something–usually sweets, but haven’t done it in years. Now I try to be more mindful of being generous of spirit. I’ve done pretty well with it this year, but that fact that we haven’t been out much is probably the better reason than any other. Still, I strive to be a better person and Lent reminds me of that.

  3. There are so many things to be thankful for, aren’t there … Glad you’re having opportunities to connect with family and friends. We have been able to rejoin our childcare bubble (Littlest is napping right now so I am trying to pop in and catch up!) and it’s wonderful. Hoping you enjoyed that glassful …
