Covid-19 | The Journal, Part 13

I did not think that when I began keeping a scrapbook about the Covid-19 pandemic I would be on the 3rd album …

Great news about the vaccine rollout – both for the country and me personally. 🙂

The Boy has to be tested twice a week as a condition of being able to return to school. I began Volume 3.

On the back of the cover page, I added an NHS heart to accompany the photo of The Brainy One (who is really in need of a haircut 🙂 ).

I’ve included a piece about how governments are politicizing the vaccine rollout. Opposite is an pocket holding the details of TBO’s appointments.

I’ve added a topical filler card and used a postcard (from The Store of Utter Gorgeousness) to cover a personal reference I wrote for my friend who has volunteered to work with the NHS Immunisation Team. There’s a few sentences of journaling on the back of the postcard.

  1. Brilliant. Hopefully Vol 3 soon has the last entry of “… & they all lived happily ever after” , meaning that COVID, lockdowns & restrictions are a thing of the past. I am a little behind in my updates to my Pandemic-The Great Pause album. I would need an entire album just for articles about our government’s vaccine program. 😦

TBO’s hair doesn’t look bad – Mr Man’s hair has taken to developing wings over his ears!

  2. There has certainly been a lot to document, hasn’t there, but thankfully it is starting to be more positive news. Fingers crossed that continues! I love the Quarantine Life card, I am constantly wondering what day it is!

  3. What a wonderful record, Ruth – you really have created something very special with this. I hope one day it will find a home in the National Archive (if your young man agrees!).

  4. Oh goodness, I do hope volume 3 is filled with continuing good news! Vaccines are rolling out steadily here, although there are quite a few who will not take it. So many people out & about now that everything is open 100%, so (of course) we continue to stay home. I’ve scheduled myself to teach a few virtual Bible journaling classes over the next three months, so I’m excited about that to keep me busy and creative.
