How did you spend your weekend? Despite being under a stay-at-home order, this past weekend turned out to be quite a full one. 🙂
Saturday – Up at 08.00, bed at 22.30. Step count – 11,623:
- Shower and breakfast
- Walked 4 laps of the park with Tilly – the outside temperature was -3C, so I kept up a brisk pace
- Baked White Chocolate and Cranberry cookies
- Two loads of laundry
- Fed Tilly
- Lunch
- Watched the Liverpool game with The Boy. They lost 3-1 to Leicester City. 😦
- Family Zoom call for Cachirulo’s birthday. 🙂
- Spent an hour or so working on the 100 Day Project and put together the beginnings of a layout
- The Brainy One and The Boy made pizzas for supper. We had a FaceTime call with my God-Daughter and her family at the same time – they were also making pizzas. We arranged a FaceTime Harry Potter trivia night for early next week
- 10-minute Pilates
- Kitchen chores and ironing
- Kept an eye on The Boy at bath time
- Stitched up a hole in the lining of my Vancouver mittens
- TV time with The Brainy One and a cuppa
- Bed
Sunday – Up at 07.10, bed at 22.00. Step count – 15,140:
- Online Step class
- One load of laundry
- Shower
- Popped to nearest convenience store for bread and milk. The bread aisle was empty. 😦
- Breakfast
- Walked three laps of the park with Tilly – warmer than yesterday at +3C
- Prepped veg for tonight’s supper
- Fed Tilly
- Unexpected chat (on the landline! 🙂 ) with The Brainy One’s lovely aunt and uncle – pleased to know that both have now received their first dose of the vaccine, as have The Brainy One’s young cousins (both are pharmacists and have been at work throughout the pandemic)
- Lunch (a treat of grilled bacon on brioche buns with brown sauce)
- Folded laundry
- Read some of The Sunday Times – the main news section, Home and Travel. 🙂
- Made a pot of tea for three.
- Put laundry away
- Made up a parcel of pocket pages, book rings and journaling note cards to send to my sister-in-law. She’s going to attempt to sort through fifty years or more of family photos. 🙂
- Some me time – the 100 Day Project and finishing up the layout begun yesterday
- Joined The Boy for a FaceTime chat with our friend in Valencia.
- Cooked roast beef and all the trimmings for supper
- Kitchen chores
- 10-minute Pilates
- TV time with The Brainy One and a cuppa
- Bed
You have used your time wisely and well :). Great step count too, and a lovely mix of family, craft and exercise. (I’m not sure I could manage Pilates after a big dinner!). ‘Home and Travel’ sounds just about right – things for now and hopes for the future?

I was actually looking at passport expiry dates this past week – hoping that maybe by later this year, overseas travel might be a possible again.

This sounds like an extended version of ADIL (a day in the life); another great 100 day project. I smiled about your Vancouver Mittens.

I love my Vancouver mittens – they’ve had a lot of wear this past week. 🙂

You certainly kept yourself busy! How lovely to have those video calls with friends and family, it really lifts your spirits to ‘see’ other people.

Just the simple act of making pizzas ‘together’ with friends and singing Happy Birthday to Cachirulo really did make us feel happier. 🙂

Wow, that certainly was a full weekend! We had snow here on Sunday, just a little to start with … but more and more as the day went on. We watched online church service, then I updated a timeline I’m working on of my Grandma’s life & put labels on binders I made for my Daddy with old family photos, called to be sure my parents were prepared for the upcoming storm, jumped on Facebook Live in the Photo Freedom group and demonstrated categorizing photos, and we watched an episode of WandaVision before I headed back to the craft room to create a scrapbook layout. 🙂

Your weather was in the news again this morning, along with Senator Ted Cruz … What was he thinking? Flying to another country for a holiday while Texans suffer extreme weather and power outages and then saying he wanted to give his children a holiday? What? In the middle of global pandemic? I think he’s been very short-sighted in his actions …
