Scrapbooking in 2021 | 12 in 20 #1

It’s been a creative few weeks and I’ve made a good start into recording 2020 – the year when we mostly stayed at home. 😦 The plan of 12 in 20 looks like it will work well and I’ll continue the theme throughout 2021.

I used two photos, a tag, a few simple embellishments and a free card from In a Creative Bubble for my simple opening page.

I chose colourful papers and embellishments to record The Boy Child becoming a teenager in January.

I went floral for February and scrapped three photos from when The Boy Child and I went on a Weekday Walk along Elizabeth Street in London’s Belgravia.

March was pink and a double spread with 6×12 insert to record our friend’s fabulous 40th birthday party. The insert hasn’t been photographed as it’s mostly journaling.

What have you been creating?

  1. Super pages. Your Belgravia in Bloom page is just stunning. So cleverly done – that floral richness in the photo spills out seamlessly into the rest of the page. I’m going to scrap a page about the inauguration today.

  2. 20 in 2020 is off to a great start – your title page is a perfect example of the effectiveness of a grid layout as is Fab at 40. Still in wonderment that TBC is already a teenager. Belgravia Flowers – Oh be still my heart.

  3. Your pages remind me that my sister and I bought Covid paper and die cuts to scrapbook with. Hmmm, wonder where they have gotten to? Your attractive pages remind me that not all of 2020 was terrible. We had good moments mixed in with the difficult days, weeks, months.

I have been doing some collage work. Just loving it. My sister lives 800 miles from me in the same state, and we have been scrapbooking, now collaging together over Facetime. Looking forward to a weekend of scrapbooking.

    1. I’m still getting my head around the fact that you and your sister live 800 miles apart and are still in the same state! Texas? That’s mind boggling to me. If my sister lived 800 miles away, she’d be almost in Austria or the Czech Republic.
Enjoy your cropping time with her. 🙂

  4. I love your layouts! I’m finishing up a “pandemic” album. I just wanted to really document the year as a sign of the times and how we managed it. I think future generations will be glad I did. At least I hope so!

    1. I think that in the years ahead, there’ll be lots of ‘official’ tomes about what life was like during the Covid pandemic … and then there’ll be the reality of all the many hundreds, if not thousands of handcrafted Covid scrapbooks and journals. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🙂
