Learn Something New Every Day | Days 16-20

September means that the Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness is approaching. It also means that Shimelle is running her annual class, Learn Something New Every Day.
As with the previous few years, I’m recording what I’ve learned throughout September here.

Day 16: Waking up in the middle of the night to discover the Met Police’s helicopter hovering approximately 300 feet over your roof is extremely disconcerting.

Day 17: I’m not adverse to being the recipient of a wolf-whistle. 🙂 It happened when I was returning home from a walk with Tilly. Someone whistled as they drove past … they’d only seen me from behind …

Day 18: Five days after the Rule of Six became law, most of us are still confused about what we can and can’t do.

Day 19: It appears that the projected income from pensions due when I retire will be more than expected. Something of a bonus.

Day 20: I learned who had wolf-whistled at me and it was both concerning and amusing …

  1. I am impressed with that tree’s colour – a little bit of a show off amidst the greenery. I would be concerned about any helicopter flying so close over head to my home, did you discover the why? We get the police helicopters flying about checking for heat signatures of mamajuana being grown/hiding amongst the corn. They like to do at 4-5am! I hope you know the whistler & that he/she was only trying to be funny.
