Learn Something New Every Day | September 2020 | Days 6-10

September means that the Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness is approaching. It also means that Shimelle is running her annual class, Learn Something New Every Day.
As with the previous few years, I’m recording what I’ve learned throughout September here.

Day 6: A couple of hours set aside for scrapbooking were just what the doctor ordered. 🙂

Day 7: Buying trainers that meet school’s uniform list requirements is not as easy as it should be.

Day 8: Telling a story from years ago for a scrapbook page needn’t be War and Peace.

Day 9: It’s worth checking Oxfam‘s opening times before walking up there with bags of books to donate. 🙂

Day 10: The Boy Child was away from school for 192 days.

  1. Schools always like to set you a little challenge don’t they?! How frustrating to carry a heavy bag of books all the way to the shop and then find them closed. 192 days – more than half a year, the six weeks summer holiday will never seem quite so long in the future will they 😉

  2. I like what you learnt on Day 6 – it’s a prescription I’m going to take the weekend of the 25th-27th with an online “Scrapping Carnival”. I’m afraid to start counting up the days (numbers) of things happening since March, 192 days away from the formal class room is a looooonnngggg time, I bet those trainers for running back to class will be well used.
