I’m still reading romances …
The Knitting in the City series by Penny Reid (8 books in total, read on Kindle): All the women in these stories are smart and kick ass. There is plenty of female empowerment. Women supporting women. Yes, these are romance novels, but they are so much more. Each story is woven around an intricate and involved career for the women and the men who fall for them.
Enjoy each story for its own sake, but also for a way to learn things you never knew you needed to learn.
They are quick reads and each story can be read as a stand-alone (apart from book 8). I read them over the month and then went back and started again.
