During this time of staying at home, I’ve found that song lyrics have sometimes taken on a new meaning. The Boy Child and I have begun to compile our own Lockdown Playlist to add to our Covid-19 Journal and here’s what we have so far:
Times Like These by Live Lounge All Stars.
You’ll Never Walk Alone by Captain Tom and Michael Ball.
Ghost Town by The Specials.
All Together Now by The Farm. (I have loved this song for almost 30 years.)
Don’t Stand So Close To Me by The Police (this was The Boy Child’s suggestion).
United We Stand by Brotherhood of Man.
Lean on Me by Bill Withers.
Road to Nowhere by Talking Heads.
Thank You For Being A Friend by Andrew Gold.
Which song(s) would you add to our list?
I haven’t put anything together as yet for my playlist, although it is a “chapter” in the Pandemic Diary. I like TBC’s selection, that made me chuckle out loud. I’m going to listen to all of yours & see which ones get on my list … thanks.

Good choices! I love ‘Lean on Me’, so pleased that made it into the final cut. I’m going to give some thought about what others would be appropriate!

Lean on Me is perfect for now, as well as being a great song in general.

I’d add Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water :). Showing my age …

Ooh yes, I love that song! I remember singing it in a school concert many, many years ago. 🙂
