December Daily 2019 | Days 11-15

Day 11: was about the queue at the Post office and Day 12 had nothing to do with the festive season.

Day 13: It was Christmas Jumper Day at school, raising funds for Save the Children. I met two of my pool ladies for a pre-Christmas get-together in the morning and in the early evening we welcomed visitors.

Day 14: We had a lot of fun dressing up for the Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long at the Royal Festival Hall … but by early evening we were in pjs ready for the Strictly final.

Day 15: Our visitors went home, and The Boy Child and I waved them off at station. We then meandered through the West End for a spot of Christmas gift buying on our way back to the Tube.

December Daily | my favourite project of the year.

  1. Another full & rich with memories DD. I’m really not sure what to say about your elections; in our news the next day it was reported there was a spike in “moving to Canada” online inquiries from GB residents.

    1. I’m not sure what to say about election, either! It should be now perfectly clear that those who voted to leave the EU in 2016 still want to leave in 2019 and that can’t be ignored, no matter what. Me, I’m still extremely grateful to the Irish …
I also saw the snippet about the spike in Internet searches for moving to Canada … I think I’ve mentioned before that we considered it …

  2. I bet this is the first, and will be the only, December Daily that includes a General Election! Trying hard to think of an Irish or Canadian ancestor who may be able to help us but suspect we are British through and through on both sides of the family!
I can almost feel the excitement ramping up in your pages with just 10 to go to the big day!

  3. Such a vibrant selection of photos and design! I really like the one of the Santa hats from behind – made me smile (as there’s not much on the news to smile about, let’s face it – sharing your dismay).
