Sing-a-Long Christmas Carols

We had friends visiting last weekend and The Boy Child and I took them to brunch and the Sing-a-Long Carol Concert at Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank. Christmas attire and Santa hats were the order of the day.

The concert’s presenter was Jonathan Cohen, a noted composer, conductor and performer and Louise Dearman was the guest singer.

There was plenty of community singing and many audience members were decked out in Christmas jumpers, twinkle lights and headbands sporting antlers or Christmas trees. The best part of the entire show was when the children were invited to stand up and sing the first verse of Away in a Manger – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

There’s nothing quite like belting out Christmas carols with a few thousand other like-minded people to put you in the Christmas spirit!

On a style note, my friend and I were thrilled when someone asked us where we’d bought our dresses from (mine came from Want That Trend last year). We were also stopped on the street by an American couple who asked if they could take our photo because we “looked so cute!”
