The lovely Mary-Lou of Patio Postcards blog pointed me recently in the direction of Brené Brown‘s new weekly gratitude practice, TGIF. Most of us would recognise TGIF as an acronym for Thank God It’s Friday, but in Brené’s world it stands for Trusting, Grateful, Inspired and Fun.
Trusting: that the weather will hold while we carry out a few upgrades to the outside of our house.
Grateful: to the neighbour who came round in the evening to drop off an important letter which had been delivered to her house by mistake.
Inspired: by Instagram home decor feeds to consider a revamp of our bedroom.
Fun: to meet up with out-of-town friends when they temporarily become in-town-friends. 🙂

What fun to be considering a decorating project inside & some changes outside of your home. Mis-directed mail is almost a weekly event at our community mail box (personal slots within). Happy weekend.

More than half the fun of a redesign is the planning and research beforehand! I hope you’ll give us glimpses of what you are doing along the way.
I do hope the weather co operates for the external work on your house. The trouble is that you have to book the workmen so far in advance, it’s impossible to be able to predict the likelihood of rain!

The external work is not that exciting – replacing double glazed units because the seal between the panes of glass has gone.
