September means that the Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness is approaching. It also means that Shimelle is running her annual class, Learn Something New Every Day.
Like the last few years, I’m recording what I’ve learned throughout September here.

Day 6: When paying for something remotely, it helps to include an expiry date.
Day 7: Photographs of a subsequently failed marriage shouldn’t be abandoned. They offer a wealth of social commentary … Why do the bride and groom look so miserable? Where’s that gorgeous interior? Was that coat ever fashionable?
Day 8: Using the new leaf vacuum/blower is both noisy and dirty work.
Day 9: The run to the Council Tip is easier with two of you.
Day 10: That apparently I am the only member of the family who is capable of popping Tilly into her harness without any drama or the threat of a dislocated shoulder (her, not me).
Several of these things made me chuckle; all goods things to know. I also thought that not all photos need or should be close ups or cropped too much because they show a lot of info on how we live/lived. Old family photos may not make Insta but certainly show a lot more of life as it was, not how we wished. The season of screaming leaf blowers is soon upon us; Mr Man was checking his yesterday !

Re those wedding photos – I kept enough for 4 12×12 pocket pages and binned the rest!

We very nearly bought a leaf blower last year, and then suddenly Autumn had passed and we no longer needed it but I think it will be on our list of things to buy very soon!
I did smile at the comment about Tilly’s harness – Coco refuses to stand still when we put hers on, she’s so excited she can’t stand still! I once took her out for a walk with both front legs through the same leg hole! It took a while for me to realise why she was walking strangely!

I do love it when the pooches do their own particularly style of doggy dance to show their excitement! Funny to think of Coco trapped in her harness!
