TGIF with a Difference #5

The lovely Mary-Lou of Patio Postcards blog pointed me recently in the direction of Brené Brown‘s new weekly gratitude practice, TGIF. Most of us would recognise TGIF as an acronym for Thank God It’s Friday, but in Brené’s world it stands for Trusting, Grateful, Inspired and Fun.

Trusting: that Tilly won’t need to go to the vet again anytime soon. (Two months after she was spayed, she had an adverse reaction to the internal stitches.)

Grateful: to the teacher who set the Summer Journal as holiday homework.

Inspired: to sort of my flower pots and beds after seeing the wild meadow in the park.

Fun: to be about to embark on a road trip.

  1. Oh Tilly! That was quite a delayed reaction, I do hope that she keeps well now.
I can imagine your triumphant smile when you heard that TBC had journalling for summer homework!
    Have a fun trip x

  2. Yeah for fun road trips, especially if you get to see more wild flower fields in bloom. Oh poor Tilly, but glad she’s on the mend. As for summer journal, TBC is going to get top marks for this project.
