Slow Summer #1 | Bookshops

Keeping our Summer Check List in mind and the idea of a slow summer, several outings these holidays have been to a bookshop. The Boy Child was lucky enough to receive a generous amount of book tokens at Christmas and for his birthday – so many that he still had a fair bit to spend.

So far, he’s bought the latest David Walliams and two books about D-Day – one written for children and a coffee table-style one published by The Times.

We have been to the bookshop in our nearest shopping mall and to our beloved Daunt’s in Marylebone. (We have also visited our local library.) The Boy Child spots what he wants, makes a decision and we’re done. I have barely time to capture the moment.

  1. Both great photos of TBC. I do like the books by David Walliams, Mr Stink & Gangsta Granny & both the TV movies made of the same titles are two of my favourites. He, David, is a very talented man.
