Having worked on the Guernsey album recently, pocket page scrapbooking has definitely been the method of choice these last few weeks, but I did find time to make two 12×12 pages.
First up is a page about meeting up with The Brother on his birthday.

He’s not the sort of chap to make a fuss, so I simply highlighted a few phrases on the dictionary-style paper and left it at that (but there is some hidden journaling under one of the photos).

The second spread is about my visit to the Chihuly exhibition at Kew Gardens. (This design is a scraplift from a LO seen in the Spring 2016 edition of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine.)

What have you been creating recently?
You have been very busy! The affection between you and your brother is so visible, and your carefully stitched heart says it all; I really like the way you highlighted those words on that paper – very neat. And those sculptures look amazing – such a colourful way to remind yourself of them. You are clearly in the mood for those lovely soft greens :).

Thank you!
You know, The Brother and I went a long time where we didn’t actually see each other, but in the last few years we’ve picked up where we’s left off – without the squabbling!
The Chihuly sculptures at Kew are worth a visit – could you get down to London? I could take you in as my guest (I’m a member of Kew) – what a day out that could be!? It’s a serious offer.

Both a nice pages – the stitched heart just sets those photos off as the heart of the layout. Nice that you celebrate birthdays in your family & together. On the second layout, I like that flag/tag at the top & the way the flowers seem to be falling off it to shower & highlight the photos.

Haha, The Brother does not ‘do’ birthdays – he rolls his eyes if you so much as give him a card! That design from SCT 2016 was just waiting for me to scraplift it.

I love that trio of photos of you and your brother – so effective to have two black and white and one colour – brilliant idea!

There was too many different colours going on in the photos, so I thought the addition of B&W photos would look better.

Two great pages! Your stitched heart is just lovely! Highlighting the appropriate phrases was GENIUS! I am so taken by the fact that 5000 miles away I can use the same supplies and same sketch to make a page. We are so connected though so far apart. It is just amazing!
