Listening: to radio plays of Sherlock Holmes mysteries. They’re surprisingly addictive.
Reading: My Glory Was I Had Such Friends by Amy Silverstein.
Planning: a few trips away. We would ordinarily have one or two family trips booked by now, but we’ve held off because the the Brexit debacle. There’s also a solo trip on the horizon for me (thank you, air miles).
Watching: Series 8 of Suits (via Amazon prime) and Series One of Trapped, an Icelandic thriller also via Amazon Prime).
Writing: more letters in my Year of Thanking project, but still not as many as I might have hoped for.
Thinking: about how complicated relationships can be.
Giving up: crisps, sweets and biscuits for Lent. I didn’t eat them at all for the 14 months I wore braces, so I’ve no need to eat them now. I thought it would be easier to complete the six weeks if I shared here …
What are you up to right now?
Oh it’s definitely easier to stick to something if you have made it public – so good luck with giving up all those treats. I have a feeling I saw Trapped on tv a while ago and enjoyed it. Good luck with planning your trips, isn’t it annoying not knowing how Brexit is going to affect everything? I have my fingers firmly crossed for our trip in a few months time!

I really want to book a trip back to Paris, but the thought of The Boy Child being caught up in an immigration queue for hours and hours fills me with horror!

What fun thinking about & planning for trips. I like the title of that book & I believe it’s one I have on my Spring Reading List. Our Bishop has a Lent theme of “One Thing” – I found finding one thing I wanted to give up for Lent was difficult – on the flip side of this “One Thing” is we are suppose to pick one thing to add to our lives during Lent that brings us closer to God. I think picking OLW was a whole lot easier.

Since I wrote this post, two family trips are booked and one solo trip for me!
Re Lent, my mum always thought that the idea was to do something for others rather than giving something up.

We’re just now planning some trips for the year as well. We needed to get Robbie settled in his new job first & decide where to go for my 50th! 😐
