Imperial War Museum

During half-term, The Boy Child and I spent a day at the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth, South London.IMG_4542.JPG The building’s exterior is currently home to Weeping Window, an art installation of 11,000 ceramic poppies (which were part of 2014’s Blood Swept Lands).DSC_0098.JPGWe were there for opening (always the best time for The Boy Child) and enjoyed having the space to roam our favourite galleries at will.  We recommend, in no particular order, the Victoria Cross gallery, Family at War, Secret War and the First World War galleries (which were the busiest).IMG_E4544.JPGOn a side note, I’d recommend taking a picnic lunch if you think you’ll be in the Museum for more than a few hours, as the café worked out to be quite expensive.
