The London Concours at the HAC

I was invited recently to the London Concours at the Honourable Artillery Company in the City of London.  Having never been to the HAC before, I jumped at the chance … even though the main attractions were 80 cars. DSC_0049.JPGNever let it be said that I’m adverse to wearing a dress and drinking Champagne mid-morning.IMG_2453.JPGI still don’t know much about cars, but I do know that I prefer the older models over the high-performance cars of today. DSC_0059.JPG

DSC_0062.JPGPerhaps it’s because it’s easier with the older cars to imagine myself being driven along the Côte d’Azur by Cary Grant.

  1. and don’t you look lovely in your dress – how nice to have been invited. I chuckled at your Cary Grant line, at the barn we often refer to one of our better behaved horses as the Cary Grant of the barn, because he is such a sweet gentleman & always brings his rider home safely.

  2. You certainly look the part Ruth! I can’t think of a nicer way to spend a few hours than dressing up, drinking fizz and imagining the wind in your hair as a passenger in a rather sophisticated soft top – let’s not forget that handsome driver either 😉
