Last Monday, which was a Bank Holiday here in the UK (and therefore no school), we met up with friends and returned to Cliveden. What a difference a few months make!
We were there for opening at 10am … along with a thousand of more of our closest friends. But no matter. We’d taken a picnic and the weather was glorious! I’d been hoping that the Parterre would be in full bloom, but it turned out we were probably a week too early. The dramatic geometric pattern of the Parterre really is planting on a huge scale. There are 16 flowerbeds packed with colourful plants and visitors will be able to get in close and marvel at the loveliness of it all.
There’s our reason for another return visit soon.
