On Saturday afternoon, we attended an event at the Royal Albert Hall. An event that was somewhat marred by The Boy Child’s attitude to a new experience. (More of what the new experience was, and his reaction to it, at a later date.) On Sunday, to round off half-term, we had a family outing to the cinema. Our first outing as a family to a not-specifically-for-kids film.
Thanks to its rating of PG, we were able to see Gary Oldman put in a superb performance as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour. We all thought it was brilliant.
Sorry to hear that half of your weekend wasn’t as relaxed and enjoyable as you had hoped it would be. I’ve heard nothing but good reviews of the ‘Darkest Hour’ and lots of praise for Gary Oldman. Maybe I will have to make the effort to get to the cinema to see it before it goes off the radar.

I would like to see the Darkest Hour but alas I doubt we’ll get there before it’s gone from the movie theatre. I can only imagine the stress of making plans that don’t go as well as hoped or planned.

We have Darkest Hour on our to-see list . . . so many movies, so little time!
